As I was driving to school on this fall morning, I was listening to the local radio station. They were talking about this lady who is HIV positive and how she brought home a gentleman friend. Now really is this that big of deal?
Well, what they went on to say was this lady had sexual intercourse with her gentleman friend and did NOT tell him she was HIV positive until afterwards: Right or wrong? But, what happened next was just crazy. This gentleman went into the kitchen, grabbed a knife and stabbed the woman to death; only to have her two young children find her dead. I thought to myself: "Is this man crazy?"
This gentleman had to be beside himself to think what was to lie ahead for him. On the other hand, does someone have the right to take one's life even if she just just harmed his life? How does he even know that he would even test positive? According to Womenshealth.gov "It's much harder for a man to get HIV from a woman, as to a man giving it to, a woman." Now, there are two young children left on this earth on this earth without a mother. And, what repercussions are going to come of this? What trauma are these children going to endure in the future?
As I was letting this fester in my mind as to what was right or wrong, I kept coming to the conclusion that this gentleman had to be in a state of temporary insanity. I wonder is this how he will plea or will he plea guilty? Will he win or lose? If he loses this case, will he receive the death penalty, all for one bad choice, on one bad night? Do two wrong's really make a right?
